Prints are huge right now, from feminine florals to fun fruits. But one stands out among the crowd, and that is the palm leaf. The tropical inspired print is so versatile, and is usually only made up of two or three colors, giving it lots of pairing potential. I love that this print is fun and bold, but not too sweet. Perfect for someone who wants to try something new, but doesn’t have a huge feminine style. I have seen palm prints on EVERYTHING, from dresses and skirts, to bathing suits, to accessories, and everything in between. It screams summer, and inspires thoughts of lying on a white sand beach, with turquoise waters, and a yummy drink in your hand. I have multiple items in my closet sporting this pattern, but one of my favorites is this breezy dress:
This dress is so lightweight and comfortable, perfect for the hot summer weather!
Playing up on the tropical print, I paired it with a fun straw clutch (which is actually a make-up bag, but who can tell the difference?)
And who doesn’t love a dress that is fun to twirl in?
I am one for bold color pairings, and I love a true green and pale pink combo. I chose some fun blush heels to dress up the look, and some pink tassel earrings to complete it.
To show the versatility of this dress, I also tried paring it with some casual, flat sandals.
These sandals are so comfortable and I love the cork material with touches of pink and gold. They are Jack Rogers, which I used to wear all the time in college, in their original style. These are nothing like my old pairs with the hard soles, I could actually wear these all day, no problem!
You can find my palm print dress here, and on sale for only $15! Pink wrap shoes here (no longer available in pink) but I caught them on sale on Amazon, and Jack Rogers here
Gorgeous! Contrary to what people may think by looking at me (HA!), I *love* to follow fashion trends and advice. Really enjoying this blog!
Thanks Jaimie! So glad to hear that you are enjoying it!!
